About Encorp
Encorp Pacific Canada is a not-for-profit product stewardship agency with beverage container recycling as their primary business focus. Their mission is to retrieve used containers and end of life products from consumers and insure that they are properly handled and recycled. In turn, they hope to reduce the amount of waste going into our landfills and the overall impact that garbage can have on our environment.
Goals and Objectives
- Usability: Re-organizing the site so that it can be intuitively accessed
- New look and feel: The website should have a compelling design that adheres to brand standards
- Easy to find: Creating a website that is search engine friendly (Google, Yahoo, MSN)
- Social Media: Incorporate and leverage relevant social media tools
Results
- 37,399 visits to the site in a month. These visits were made by Government, Depot Owners, Schools, and Consumers etc
- 32.98% bounce rate. Most websites have a bounce rate of around 50%
- Average time on site- 2:50. User’s engagement on the website improved with the new design and usability improvements. Furthermore, with a higher amount of time on the site, users were viewing more pages and discovering more about Encorp as an overall company.
- 4.52 page views per user. Most users may only view 1 or 2 pages when coming to a website. A high number of page views also reinforces that the end user is more engaged with the Encorp website and learning more about Encorp and their services.
