Since 1965, Gatorade can be found on the sidelines of more than 70 Division I colleges as the official sports drink of their men’s and women’s intercollegiate sports. Today, Gatorade is now multinational sports beverage provider, and also the official sports drink of the NBA, AVP, and PGA, Major League Baseball, Major League Soccer, and numerous other elite and professional organizations and teams.
Gatorade worked with Tidal to create a online contest and social media campaign. In partnership with Big House Communications, we developed an online competition and social media promotion that leveraged the brand’s relationship with Sidney Crosby in order to engage and capture Gatorade consumers.
Goals and Objectives
Our Goal was to build a microsite to manage the contest entries and support the Meet Sidney campaign, using Facebook (both viral and advertising) and in-store communication to drive entries to the competition. We believe the results speak for themselves.Results
- 51,700 promotional entries, both online and mail-in.
- 40,000 website visits during the course of the campaign.
- 15 million impressions on Facebook with over 7,000 fans.
