What is a Usability Review a.k.a Website Heurisitics Evaluation?
An expert usability review entails three or four of our account managers and information architects taking an in-depth look at your current website and its workflows. The experts examine the usability issues that your website is facing and prepare comprehensive causality reporting.
This is done by referencing industry and academic best practice, including Jakob Nielsen’s ten heuristics for site usability. Each of the panel members individually carry out an assessment of the website architecture and walk through a set of pre-defined user tasks. The panel will then come together to score each of the identified usability issues, and collectively produce a report defining a list of priority areas to improve the overall performance of your website.
This report will typically identify 80 – 90% of the usability issues your current site. It can then be used to work in tandem with baseline usability testing, to give you an accurate picture of the usability of your current website, and what areas most need to be improved.
