Simon Fraser University Coop
Simon Fraser University Co-op

Project Type: Website
Challenge
SFU Co-op is one of North America’s largest and most comprehensive Co-op Programs and has over 30 years of successful student and employer work placements across all continents of the world. We were approached by SFU to build a new website to meet their growing needs.
Goals & Objectives
- Increase the number of students who enroll in the coop program.
- Enable Students to quickly locate their desired program (i.e. Arts and Sciences, Business etc.)
- Increase the number of employers who post jobs on the Co-op site.
Strategy
- After mapping out the user goals, objectives and motivations, we built out accurate user profiles and used this to design a new navigation process.
- Based on the findings of the focus group, we were able to develop a new web site that enabled visitors to quickly achieve their goals and objectives.
Results
- Online registrations increased from approximately 80 registrations per month to 360 registrations in peak months on the new website.
Testimonial
“The Tidal team stuck with the timelines and we were informed of upcoming deadlines. They were flexible, and were able to adapt as we needed to change a few items along the way. They also kept in close contact with us, scheduling status update meetings to ensure we were on target and to identify any potential areas of concern.
They were very inclusive and enabled our team to feel as though we lead the project, although they were ultimately in control of the process. Overall, the new SFU Co-op site is easy to update, and the overall layout is also appealing. We would highly recommend entrusting your project to Tidal.”
