Usability and User testing > Baseline Testing
What is Baseline Testing?
In this form of user testing, we get a group of users together to test out different tasks on your current site. The results establish a baseline against which we measure future behavior. We take user feedback and responses from your current site and use that information when developing a new wireframe layout.
Once the website wireframe is completed, we bring that same group of users back and have them go through the same user tasks. We compare their feedback the second time around to their baseline test responses.
If there is a substantial sign of improvement with the user tasks, we then proceed to website design and development. If there are still some areas that need to be refined, we update the wireframe and then test again until we are satisfied with the end process.
